When everything's finally done at the Skylite, we proceeded to the muddy field and walked in the rain for the third time. The marching teams were in the canteen to have the props put on, spirit being lifted by the seniors and were reminded about certain things regarding the marchpast session. The themes for each house this year were Sailors, Spartans, Mythical Objects, Robin Hood and Aztec.

..the marching members were already in line and waited for their turns to marchpast the judges. Shirtliff was the first to go and was then followed by Green, Cooke, Prouse and lastly, Maclay. The formations for my own house was a "M" during the saluting session. I do not know how to explain it but according to Beverly, the judges were clapping and quite surprised with it.
the marching teams.
The malay prayers and national anthem was up next and the marching teams were finally back to their own tents. After that.. , I lost track of what happened at the other end of the field because the camera had succeeded in tempting me to start snapping pictures again.

the food.
After the breakfast, went around collecting souvenirs from other houses because this is my last year and I want to keep them. :)
I did the one that has '08 on it for the members and the marching team with Wai Yuen, Beverly, Mazuin, Michelle, Hui Ning, Ying Si and some others people. Thanks for the help! <3>
*curses*blogger's sucha bugger because the Prouse's souvenirs' picture can't seem to come out*
When I'm done collecting, started to keep track on what's going on again. The running events had already started by the time I finished the provided food. Screamed and shouted at the top of our lungs for the Maclay runners with the others like Michelle, Wai Yuen, Hazel and Mazuin.
passing the baton event.
Because screaming and shouting hurts the throat pretty much, there should be breaks in between. Since we had yet to take a picture of the flag done by Hui Ning, we decided to do so.
Please ignore my pants which were pulled up like that thank you very much because the field was wet and my pants were already soaking with mud.
Then back to cheering again in the middle of the field and saw this scoreboard. The last one is Maclay's. :)
The final score.
During the prize-giving session, everyone was asked to leave the tent to go to the middle of the field so that the winners could collect the medals and while waiting for the results of best board, best marching team, sportsperson for the female and male and of course, overall champion, we did this.
After staying back for days just for Maclay,
After practising for various events just to pass the sukan tara,
After failing in shotput a million times,
After failing to jump over the 100 cm high jump and passing the 95 cm one,
After running and gotten 2nd during our first training,
After reciting the cheers for Maclay over and over again,
After trying to lift the spirits up of the marching team,
After trying my own best to teach the marching team in projecting a louder voice,
After seeing my friends who are stressed up over Maclay,
After feeling annoyed at certain people who thought they were all that,
After doing the souvenirs with the help of many,
After being sick of 1st and 2nd runner-ups,
After all the huffs and puffs,
After wishing so hard to be the champion for five whole years,
We finally walked off with the title that we've always wanted.
irony. it's SMK Seri Bintang Selatan Utara. -.-
Have you got that spirit?
Yeah man!
Let me see in your arms!
Oo A Oo A A!
Don't mess with the best,
Cause the best don't mess,
Don't fool with the cool,
Cause the cool don't fool,
Don't mess,
Don't fool,
Cause Maclay is here to rule!
Rumah Maclay!
Rumah Maclay!
Wira, Wira, Wira, Oom!
Blue stands for victory and we are wearing blue
So come on, M-A-C-L-A-Y H-O-U-S-E!
I <3
